Q: How long have you been a coach?
"I have been a tennis coach for over 20 years and a pickleball coach for almost 6 years. My coaching journey has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to share my love for racquet sports with numerous players and witness their improvement and success."

Q: Tell us something fun about yourself.
“I am ambidextrous, playing tennis left-handed and all other racquet sports, including pickleball, right-handed. This skill set has helped me achieve a national ranking as high as #12 in tennis. Balancing these different playing styles keeps things interesting and challenges me to stay versatile and adaptable in all my coaching techniques.”

Q: What excites you about being the Director of Pickleball at Austin Pickle Ranch?
:I'm absolutely in love with the atmosphere at Austin Pickle Ranch. The community here is so vibrant and the players' enthusiasm is infectious. I'm really excited to be part of this fantastic environment and to help grow the pickleball community in Austin. The sense of camaraderie and shared passion for the sport makes every day at the ranch an absolute joy.”

Q: What's your top pro tip for pickleball players?
“My top pro tip for pickleball players is to focus on making contact with the ball in front of your body. Prioritize consistency and accuracy over power. Developing these fundamental skills will significantly improve your game and give you a solid foundation to build upon. Remember, pickleball is a game of strategy and precision, so staying consistent is key.”

Q: How did you get into pickleball?
“My introduction to pickleball was serendipitous. One evening, a tennis friend called me up and invited me to play pickleball the next morning. I decided to give it a try, and from the first game, I was hooked. The fast-paced, strategic nature of pickleball captivated me, and I quickly fell in love with the sport. Since then, pickleball has become a central part of my life and coaching career.”
