Before discovering pickleball, Klitch was a three-time Mid-American Conference tennis champion at Miami University and spent 35 years in financial services. After trying pickleball in 2019, he quickly fell in love with the sport's social, welcoming atmosphere. What began as plans to build a tennis resort soon evolved into Austin Pickle Ranch. With its 16 indoor courts and 2 outdoor courts, it’s the best place in Austin to play for players of all ages and skill levels.
During the conversation, Klitch explains what inspired him to create Austin Pickle Ranch and how he became involved with Major League Pickleball and the Texas Ranchers. He also shares why pickleball continues to grow so quickly and reflects on the importance of building a community where everyone feels welcome.
